Auto Send Location Using Bixby Routines in the US
Your Samsung Galaxy can automatically send your live location using Bixby Routines in the United States — perfect for sharing your whereabouts with family or during emergencies. Here’s how to set it up for hands-free location updates.
Step 1: Open Bixby Routines
Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Bixby Routines and tap + Add Routine. This feature automates tasks based on your conditions and actions — including location sharing.
Step 2: Choose the Trigger
Under the If section, select what starts the routine. For example, choose When Leaving Home, Specific Time, or Low Battery. You can even set it to trigger when you connect to your car’s Bluetooth system.
Step 3: Add the “Send Message” Action
In the Then section, tap Send Message. Select the contact or family member you want to receive your location. In the message field, tap the Insert Location option to automatically include your current GPS coordinates or address.
Step 4: Enable Permissions
When prompted, allow Location and Messages permissions for Bixby Routines. Without this access, the phone cannot retrieve your position or send texts automatically.
Step 5: Test the Routine
Tap Run Now to make sure the message and location are sent correctly. Once confirmed, the routine will handle everything automatically from now on — no manual input needed.

OnePlus Tip
For emergency use, create a Bixby Routine that sends your location to trusted contacts when your phone battery drops below 10% or when you disconnect from your car at night — ideal for extra safety on the road.
