Auto Text Reply During Driving with Bixby Routines in the US
Want your Samsung Galaxy to automatically reply to texts while you’re driving in the United States? With Bixby Routines, you can set up an auto text reply that lets people know you’re on the road — keeping you safe and focused.
Step 1: Open Bixby Routines
Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Bixby Routines, then tap + Add Routine. This tool allows your phone to perform specific actions automatically based on your situation or activity.
Step 2: Choose “Driving” as the Trigger
Under the If section, select Driving or When Connected to Car Bluetooth. This ensures the routine activates only when you start driving.
Step 3: Add the “Send Message” Action
In the Then section, tap Send Message. Enter a custom response such as “I’m currently driving and will reply soon.” You can choose whether it replies to all messages or specific contacts.
Step 4: Manage Permissions
When prompted, allow Messages and Bluetooth permissions so Bixby can access your contacts and automatically send responses during driving sessions.
Step 5: Test the Routine
Connect your Galaxy device to your car’s Bluetooth and send yourself a test message. If your auto-reply works, the setup is complete — from now on, it’ll activate automatically whenever you start driving.

OnePlus Tip
For maximum safety, pair this routine with Do Not Disturb while driving. You can even create a second routine that automatically turns off auto-replies when you disconnect from your car’s Bluetooth.
