Block Adult Websites on Safari for US iPhone Users
Blocking adult websites on Safari helps protect children and maintain a safe browsing experience on iPhones. In iOS 18, US users can configure parental controls and content restrictions directly through Settings.
Step 1: Open Screen Time Settings
Go to Settings > Screen Time. If Screen Time is not enabled, tap Turn On Screen Time and follow the setup instructions.
Step 2: Set Up Content & Privacy Restrictions
Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and toggle it ON. This section allows you to manage content ratings, website access, and app restrictions.
Step 3: Restrict Adult Websites
Go to Content Restrictions > Web Content and select Limit Adult Websites. Safari will automatically block most adult content and allow you to add specific websites to the allowed or blocked list.
Step 4: Use Allowed Websites Only (Optional)
For stricter control, choose Allowed Websites Only and manually add websites your family members can access. This ensures complete restriction of undesired content.
Step 5: Manage Passcode
Set a Screen Time passcode to prevent unauthorized changes. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Use Screen Time Passcode and follow the prompts.
Step 6: Monitor Usage
Regularly check Screen Time reports to see website access and adjust restrictions as needed. For detailed security and privacy tips, see Security & Privacy.

OnePlus Tip
Screen Time and content restrictions are most effective when passcodes are secure. Combine this with guided access for children to ensure safe and controlled browsing.
