Clean Storage and Boost Speed on Samsung Galaxy Without Reset

Running low on storage or seeing slowdowns? You can free space and speed up your Samsung Galaxy without a factory reset by cleaning caches, removing large files, and using built-in tools.

Step 1: Use Battery & Device Care Storage Tool

Open Settings > Battery and Device Care > Storage and tap Clean Now to remove temporary files and optimize storage safely.

Step 2: Uninstall or Offload Unused Apps

Review apps you rarely use and uninstall them. For apps you want to keep but not use frequently, disable or restrict background permissions to save resources.

Step 3: Clear Media and Downloads

Delete duplicate photos, large videos, and old downloads. Use the Gallery and file manager to sort by size so you can remove heavy items quickly.

Step 4: Move Files to Cloud or SD (If Available)

Upload photos and videos to Google Photos or another cloud provider, or move large media to an SD card if your model supports it to free internal storage.

Step 5: Clear App Cache Selectively

For lagging apps, go to Settings > Apps, pick the app and tap Storage > Clear Cache. Avoid Clear Data unless you want to reset the app.

Enable Auto Optimization in Device Care to run daily cleanup tasks automatically — it keeps cache and background bloat under control without manual effort.
