Disable App Notifications Only During Work Hours on Samsung
Want to stay focused during work hours but still keep your Samsung Galaxy connected? You can easily disable app notifications only during specific times — without turning off alerts completely. Here’s how to schedule quiet hours on your Samsung device.
Step 1: Open Modes and Routines
Go to Settings > Modes and Routines. This feature, powered by Bixby Routines, lets you automate your phone’s behavior based on time, location, or activity — perfect for work-hour focus.
Step 2: Create a “Work Mode” Routine
Tap + Add Routine and select Time Period as the condition. Set your typical work hours, such as 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, then add an action to Do Not Disturb or Mute Notifications.
Step 3: Choose Which Apps Are Silenced
Under Do Not Disturb > App Exceptions, select the apps you want to silence during work — like social media or games — while keeping essential notifications (like calls or work apps) active.
Step 4: Enable Routine Automation
Turn on Run Automatically so the routine activates at the start of your work hours and deactivates afterward. Your Samsung Galaxy will now silence unnecessary notifications on schedule.
Step 5: Sync Work Mode Across Devices
If you also use a Galaxy Watch or tablet, sign in with the same Samsung Account. This ensures that your work-hour routine syncs seamlessly across all your connected devices.
