Disable Notifications Only During Work Hours on iPhone

If you want to focus on work without being disturbed by notifications, iOS lets you schedule Do Not Disturb or Focus modes to silence alerts during specific hours. Here’s how to set it up step by step.

1. Open Focus Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Focus.

  2. Tap Do Not Disturb or create a Custom Focus for work.

2. Schedule Work Hours

  1. In your chosen Focus, tap Add Schedule or Automation → Time.

  2. Set your work start and end times.

  3. Select the days of the week you want this schedule to apply.

3. Customize Allowed Notifications

  • Under People, choose contacts who can still notify you during work hours.

  • Under Apps, select apps allowed to send notifications (optional).

  • All other notifications will be silenced automatically during the scheduled hours.

4. Enable Focus Status (Optional)

  • Go to Settings → Focus → Focus Status.

  • Toggle Share Focus Status to let others know you have notifications silenced.

OnePlus Tip

Pair your work Focus schedule with iPhone widgets or Smart Stacks for a distraction-free home screen during work hours. You can also automate Home Screen pages to hide non-essential apps while Focus is active.
