Do not call registry for cell phones verizon

If you’re a Verizon mobile user and tired of constant spam or telemarketing calls, you can protect your number by registering it with the official National Do Not Call Registry — plus use Verizon’s own spam protection tools for extra security.

1. Add Your Verizon Number to the Do Not Call Registry

The FTC’s National Do Not Call Registry works for cell phones and landlines. It’s completely free and never expires.

How to Register:

Once you register, telemarketers must stop calling you within 31 days.

2. What Calls Aren’t Blocked

Even after registering, you may still receive calls from:

  • Political campaigns

  • Charities and nonprofits

  • Surveys and informational messages

  • Businesses you’ve recently interacted with

3. Boost Protection with Verizon Tools

To further reduce spam calls, use Verizon’s free Call Filter service:

  • Dial *662 to turn it ON

  • Dial *#662 to check status

  • Download Verizon Call Filter from the App Store or Google Play

This helps detect and automatically block high-risk spam calls before they reach you.

4. Report Spam or Violations

If telemarketers still contact you after registering:

  • File a complaint at donotcall.gov

  • Forward spam texts to 7726 (SPAM) for Verizon to investigate

OnePlus Tip: Combine the National Do Not Call Registry with Verizon’s Call Filter for the strongest protection against spam and robocalls on your cell phone.
