Force Restart Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra During Beta in the US
If your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra freezes or becomes unresponsive while testing a One UI Beta update in the United States, performing a force restart can quickly bring it back to normal without erasing your data.
Step 1: Press and Hold Power + Volume Down
Hold the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds. When you see the Samsung logo, release both buttons — your device will reboot automatically.
Step 2: Wait for the Restart
The screen will go black briefly, then the Galaxy logo will appear. This process refreshes system memory and ends frozen background tasks caused by beta instability.
Step 3: Avoid Holding for Too Long
If you hold the buttons longer than 15 seconds, your phone may enter Safe Mode or attempt a diagnostic restart. Release both keys as soon as the Samsung logo appears.
Step 4: Charge Before Restarting Again
If the device doesn’t respond after the first attempt, connect it to a charger for at least 5 minutes before repeating the force restart. Beta firmware can sometimes drain power unexpectedly.
Step 5: Report the Issue to Samsung Members
After your Galaxy reboots, open the Samsung Members app and report any recurring freeze or crash issues. Feedback helps Samsung stabilize the One UI Beta faster for all U.S. participants.

OnePlus Tip
If your phone repeatedly freezes during beta testing, boot into Safe Mode by holding Power > Safe Mode when restarting. This disables third-party apps and helps isolate whether the problem comes from the beta firmware or a specific app.
