How to unblock spam calls on iPhone
If you’ve previously blocked spam or unknown calls on your iPhone and want to start receiving them again — for instance, if a real contact was blocked by mistake — here’s how to unblock them easily.
1. Unblock Numbers from iPhone Settings
-
Go to Settings → Phone → Blocked Contacts
-
Find the number you want to unblock
-
Swipe left on it → Tap Unblock
This instantly allows calls and messages from that number again.
2. Turn Off Silence Unknown Callers
If your iPhone is automatically silencing unknown numbers:
-
Go to Settings → Phone → Silence Unknown Callers
-
Toggle it Off
This lets all calls — including those not in your contacts — come through.
3. Disable Carrier Spam Blocking (if active)
For Verizon users:
-
Dial *632 to turn off spam blocking
-
For AT&T: Go to the Call Protect app → disable blocking
-
For T-Mobile: Use the Scam Shield app → turn off blocking
OnePlus Tip: Unblock calls temporarily if you’re expecting important calls from businesses or new contacts — then re-enable spam protection after.
