Reset Network Settings for US Carriers on iOS 18

If your iPhone suddenly loses signal, can’t connect to Wi-Fi, or shows “No Service” after updating to iOS 18, your carrier settings may be corrupted. Resetting your network configuration can fix connectivity issues with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and other US carriers — without erasing your personal data.

Here’s how to safely reset network settings on iOS 18 and restore stable connections.

1. What Happens When You Reset Network Settings

Before you begin, understand what this reset affects:

  • Deletes saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords

  • Removes paired Bluetooth devices

  • Resets VPN and APN configurations

  • Keeps your photos, apps, and files safe

๐Ÿ“After the reset, you’ll need to reconnect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices manually.

2. Reset Network Settings on iOS 18

  1. Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone.

  2. Tap Reset → Reset Network Settings.

  3. Enter your device passcode if prompted.

  4. Tap Reset Network Settings again to confirm.

Your iPhone will restart automatically — this rebuilds all network stacks and clears outdated carrier data.

3. Reconnect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Devices

After rebooting:

  1. Open Settings → Wi-Fi and select your network.

  2. Re-enter your password.

  3. Turn on Bluetooth and pair accessories again (AirPods, CarPlay, speakers, etc.).

If Wi-Fi or Bluetooth still doesn’t connect, move to the next step.

4. Update Carrier Settings for US Networks

Outdated carrier configurations can cause call or data issues.

  1. Go to Settings → General → About.

  2. Wait 10–15 seconds — if an update prompt appears, tap Update.

  3. Restart your iPhone afterward.

For manual verification:

  • AT&T → Carrier version should show AT&T XX.X

  • VerizonVerizon XX.X

  • T-MobileT-Mobile XX.X

If you don’t see an update, your settings are already current.

5. Reset SIM or eSIM Profiles (if needed)

If cellular service is still unstable:

  1. Go to Settings → Cellular → SIMs.

  2. Tap your carrier → choose Remove eSIM.

  3. Restart iPhone → Go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.

  4. Scan the QR code provided by your carrier or use Transfer From Nearby iPhone.

This step resolves most eSIM-related dropouts.

6. Contact Carrier Support

If signal problems persist after the reset:

They can refresh your network registration or push a new SIM profile to your account.

OnePlus Tip

Whenever you notice poor reception after a major iOS update, try a network reset before factory resetting your phone. It’s quick, safe, and often resolves signal drops or Wi-Fi disconnects — especially on 5G networks in the US.
For stable connectivity, keep Carrier Settings and iOS updates synced under Settings → General → About.
