Set Up Samsung Pay on Galaxy Devices in the US
Set Up Samsung Pay on Galaxy Devices to make secure, contactless payments anywhere in the United States. Samsung Pay supports both NFC and MST technologies, letting you pay at virtually any terminal that accepts credit or debit cards — directly from your phone or smartwatch.
Step 1: Open Samsung Pay
Swipe up from the bottom of your home screen or open the Samsung Wallet app (formerly Samsung Pay). If prompted, sign in with your Samsung Account to begin setup.
Step 2: Add a Payment Card
Tap + Add Card and choose either Credit/Debit Card or Membership Card. You can scan your card using your device camera or enter the details manually. Once verified by your bank, the card will appear in your wallet.
Step 3: Enable Authentication
For secure payments, set up an authentication method such as Fingerprint, Face Recognition, or PIN. You’ll be asked to confirm one before completing every transaction with Samsung Pay.
Step 4: Make a Payment
To pay, swipe up from the bottom of your screen, select the card you want to use, and authenticate. Hold your phone near the payment terminal until you see a checkmark or hear a beep — that’s it!
Step 5: Manage Cards and Transactions
Open Samsung Wallet > Menu > Transactions to view your recent payments. You can also delete, reorder, or temporarily lock cards from the same section if needed.
Step 6: Use Samsung Pay on Smartwatches
If you own a Galaxy Watch, you can add cards from the Samsung Wallet app on your watch or connected phone. Once configured, just press and hold the back button to access Samsung Pay instantly.

OnePlus Tip
If a store terminal doesn’t support NFC, Samsung Pay’s MST technology can still send payment data through magnetic signals — just like a physical card swipe. This gives Galaxy users broader payment compatibility than most other digital wallets.
