Transfer Contacts from Samsung to iPhone 15 in Canada
Switching from a Samsung phone to an iPhone 15 in Canada? You can easily transfer all your contacts without losing any data. Whether you prefer using Apple’s Move to iOS app or manual syncing, here’s a step-by-step guide to move your contacts safely.
Step 1: Use Move to iOS App
On your Samsung device, download the Move to iOS app from the Google Play Store. During your iPhone 15 setup, select Move Data from Android. A six-digit code will appear — enter it on your Samsung phone to connect both devices securely.
Step 2: Transfer Contacts and Data
Select Contacts (and other items like Messages or Photos, if desired) in the Move to iOS app. Wait for the transfer to finish — it may take several minutes depending on your contact list size.
Step 3: Complete iPhone Setup
Once the transfer is done, finish setting up your iPhone 15. Open the Contacts app to confirm your imported data. All numbers from your Samsung device should now be available on your new iPhone.
Step 4: Sync Contacts via Google Account (Optional)
If you use a Google account, you can also sync contacts manually. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Google, and enable Contacts. Your saved contacts will appear automatically on your iPhone.
Step 5: Check SIM Card Contacts
If your Samsung stored contacts on the SIM card, insert it into your iPhone 15. Then go to Settings > Contacts > Import SIM Contacts to move them into your iCloud contact list.
Step 6: Verify Network and Sync Settings
Ensure your iPhone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network during transfer. For more connectivity tips, visit Connectivity & Network.

OnePlus Tip
Before transferring, back up your Samsung contacts to Google or Samsung Cloud. This ensures you have a secondary copy if the wireless transfer fails or gets interrupted during setup.
