Use Bixby Routines to Automatically Send Location in US
If you live in the United States and want your Samsung Galaxy to automatically share your location with trusted contacts — for example when you arrive at work or leave home — you can easily set it up using Bixby Routines. Here’s how to do it safely and efficiently.
Step 1: Open Modes and Routines
On your Galaxy phone, go to Settings > Modes and Routines or open the Samsung Wallet shortcut for Bixby Routines. Tap Routines to start creating an automation rule.
Step 2: Add a Trigger (When to Send Location)
Select If and choose a trigger such as Leaving Home, Arriving at Work, or a specific Time of Day. You can also select Connects to Car Bluetooth if you want to share your location while driving.
Step 3: Add an Action (What Happens Next)
Under Then, tap Send Message or Share Location. Choose the contact(s) who should receive your live location or a preset text like “I’ve arrived safely.”
Step 4: Adjust Privacy and Permissions
Make sure Location Sharing is allowed in Settings > Privacy > Permission Manager. Samsung allows full control over who can see your data — so you stay safe while staying connected.
Step 5: Test the Routine
Once you’ve configured the routine, simulate the trigger (e.g., leaving your Wi-Fi zone) to verify that the location message is sent automatically. You can monitor the log under Routines > History.

OnePlus Tip
You can combine multiple triggers — for example, “When I leave home and connect to car Bluetooth” — so Bixby only sends your location under specific, trusted conditions. It’s automation done smartly and securely.
