Enable Low Power Mode Automatically on iPhone
Automatically enabling Low Power Mode on your iPhone helps extend battery life without manually toggling the setting every day. In iOS 18, you can create automations that turn on Low Power Mode based on battery level, time, or even Focus modes.
Step 1: Open the Shortcuts App
Launch the Shortcuts app and go to the Automation tab. This is where you can create custom triggers for Low Power Mode.
Step 2: Create a New Automation
Tap the + icon → Select Create Personal Automation → Choose Battery Level. Set the battery percentage threshold at which Low Power Mode should activate automatically.
Step 3: Add Low Power Mode Action
Tap Add Action, search for Set Low Power Mode, and ensure it’s set to turn on. Then toggle off Ask Before Running and tap Done to save.
Step 4: Optional Triggers
You can also link Low Power Mode to Focus modes, leaving or arriving at a location, or specific times of day. This allows your iPhone to optimize battery usage intelligently based on your routine.
Step 5: Monitor and Adjust
Check your iPhone’s battery performance after enabling automation. If necessary, adjust the trigger threshold or remove unnecessary actions to balance performance and battery life. For advanced tips, see Performance & System Optimization.
